• When the Apple of Your Eye is Rotten at the Core. Book by Domestic Violence Expert Tina Royles

My Book “When the Apple of Your Eye is Rotten at the Core” is now available on Amazon in Paperback or Kindle formats.

The reason behind me writing this book is to share with you my experiences both professional and personal of what domestic violence is, in its simplest of forms and with all the complexities and impact that it has.

I wanted to provide clarify where generally there is confusion. I wanted to show how domestic violence can happen to any one of us – yet with awareness, understanding, support and courage there is the potential to recover.

As a professional working in the field for many years; first as a police officer, then specialising within the police in domestic violence, being the Chair of a domestic violence partnership forum, being a trustee of women’s refuges, being a manager of a violence prevention (domestic violence perpetrator) programme, and of course being a psychotherapist with my own private practice (Selyor Therapy Centre – www.selyortherapycentre.com) specialising in domestic violence and also relationship difficulties – I wanted to raise awareness but also to present domestic violence in a balanced way, in order to help move things forward for change, to educate all involved, and to enable victims, any children and others involved directly or indirectly to work through the trauma and chaos.

I don’t have any hidden agenda for writing this book, I just want to raise awareness and make a difference; if by reading this book just one person finds the strength to rebuild their life then I will have achieved my aim.
